Carmel T. Janelle, 84, of Manchester, died Nov. 24, 2011, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home.

She was born in Manchester on June 13, 1927, daughter of Simeon and Mary (Boisvert) Gregoire.

She was the widow of Maurice Janelle, who died in 1999. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Northeast Electronics Inc. She was a member of the Parish of the Transfiguration. She had been a member of the Bible study group. She enjoyed doing the family genealogy.

Members of her family include son Maurice Janelle Jr. and his wife, Janice, of Goffstown; three daughters, Barbara Bishop of Bedford, Donna Wells and her husband, Dana, of Manchester, and Diane Boulanger and her husband, Ronald, of Weare; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Cain & Janosz Funeral Home, 74 Brook St., corner of Pine Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Parish of the Transfiguration 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. Leo Robert Janelle, 74, of York Beach and a winter resident of The Villages, Fla., died Sunday, March 7, 2010, as a result of a brief illness.

Born in Dover, N.H., on May 12, 1935, he was the son of Wilfred and Thelma Janelle.

He was a 1953 graduate of Dover High School. He was a former longtime resident of Dover and moved to York Beach in 1976 and was the owner/operator of Howe's Hotel.

He loved to play the piano and share his talent with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing golf.

Prior to his retirement, he was a longtime employee of UNH.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Maryann (Demers) Janelle and survived by a daughter, Michelle Warner of Windham, Maine; a son, Jody Janelle of Fremont, N.H.; two granddaughters, Alexandra Gagnon and Kaleigh Warner and two grandsons, Theodore Janelle and Eric Janelle; a brother, Sinclair Janelle of Dover, N.H.; two sisters, Jean Kibbe of Simsbury, Conn., and Anita Roy of West Orange, N.J., and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Mary Cemetery.
